Branch8 is an e-commerce software company that enable sellers to list and manage their products across multiple online retail marketplaces without increasing effort.
Based out of Hong Kong, Branch8 is part of Y Combinator‘s Summer 2015 class. Beyond consolidating selling via multiple services — Amazon, Lazada, Rakuten, eBay, and Jumia are among the initial platforms supported — the company also provides analytics to track traffic, automate price checking and product migration, and connect to third-party logistics services. These value-adds are what CEO, Elton Chan, believes will stand out to merchants. Chan told TechCrunch that Branch8 currently has nearly 1,000 sellers (including over 600,000 products) who are processing over $1 million in sales per month on its platform.
As a startup with one office in San Jose, CA and the other in Hong Kong, Chan, located in California, didn’t have the bandwidth to call all of his leads or coordinate with his international team to launch this mass outreach.
